Frederique Barchelard is an architect. Her interest focus on how architecture and design could create new conditions of interacting and living together. Her work combines objects and spaces that are simple, rational and comfortable, interrogating images and scenes that are populating our daily life. 

Frederique has taught at the Architectural Association in London and London Metropolitan University alongside being invited as a guest critic in a wide range of architectural institutions.

Frederique is a fellow at the Villa Medicis - French Academy in Rome 2019-2020

In 2020 she co-founded Wald.city with Flavien Menu as architects and developers engaged to develop vibrant and sustainable buildings acting to foster low carbon city and economy.

2022 Floriade Expo 2022, SOLAR proto, Amsterdam - French Pavillon for the international biennale of horticulture and ecology.

2022 Musée Bargoin, Clermont Ferrand. As part of the application to the European Cultural Capital 2028.

2022 Place de Jaude Clermont Ferrand, Proto- Habitat is a flagship for the application to the European Cultural Capital 2028, hosting a series of conferences and discussion on rurality, savoir - faire and craftmanship.
